Shuttle Services

Getting a ride back for one-way routes

You can do the trail out and back, but many cyclists will plan a one-way trip and need to be shuttled to or from their car. Probably the easiest protocol is to have the shuttle service driver pick up you and your bike at your car in the long term parking lot in Woodsville, Gorham or Bethel.  You are shuttled to your start point and then you just ride back to your car without any worries about timing. Note that you can even arrange to get your baggage shuttled from lodging to lodging!

We highly recommend you BOOK EARLY for your trip, especially for the Fall Foliage Season!

Cheryl and Dan, who shuttle many hikers in the White Mountains, can shuttle cyclists, too.  They are located in Berlin, which is just north of Gorham. From their website: "We are now offering shuttle service for cyclists wanting to do a one way trip like the xNHAT. Currently we can take 4 passengers and bikes." They can take e-bikes, too.
They can shuttle you for the entire length of the xNHAT or for shorter one-way day trips.

The Trail Angels Hiker Services is a member of "The North Country Welcomes Bicyclists" program. They have a toolkit and pump in their vehicle to assist cyclists.
