The North Country
Welcomes Bicyclists Program

The North Country Welcomes Bicyclists Program Spans Across the xNHAT!

With a goal of developing a welcoming experience for cyclists, the xNHAT has implemented the North Country Welcomes Bicyclists Program by providing 18 businesses and parks along the route with repair stations, tools and pumps. Over the last two years, we installed 11 fixed repair stations and air pumps plus an additional 7 businesses received hand tools and a portable pump. This project was funded by a grant awarded to the xNHAT by the "You Have Our Trust Fund" with Fidelity Charitable. We thank them for their support!

The NCWB’s focus is to provide permanently fixed bike repair stations to town parks and tool kits and air pumps to lodgings, cafes and other businesses where a local, visiting, or cross-state touring cyclists might just need an adjustment to their bike or a tire fill-up using a pump with a air pressure gauge. Amenities like trailhead Porta-Potties, trash cans, benches and bike racks are also part of this program. All of the equipment, installation, materials, and labor are provided to the towns and businesses at no cost.
