Because of the difficulty in getting enough staff, many of these restaurants have reduced their days and hours. Contact them first to check before heading out!
Town of Woodsville
Plenty of places to eat on Main Street, right on or close to the trail route, everything from fast food to Mexican (The Little Grill Comida Mexicana). For a hearty breakfast, lunch or dinner try Shiloh's, located near the Nootka Lodge. The Iron Rail Pub and Grill has great pub food. For a local favorite, that recently moved from Bath, try Jamie Lynn's Kitchen.
GREAT choice for coffee, breakfast, lunch and baked goods: Gather Together Cafe, across the street from the trail on Pine Street, next to the Dunkin Donuts. The Gather Together has ICE CREAM also!
Town of Bath
Unfortunately, no places to eat in Bath anymore but worth taking a ride to cross the historic Bath Covered Bridge for the fun experience and take a look at the Brick Store, it is CURRENTLY CLOSED and For Sale. So sad. I hope someone buys this soon, it is a gem! The oldest general store in the USA.
Town of Lisbon
The food and amenities are on Route 302:
Definitely check out the new cafe and bakery: the Wild Flour Cafe for great lunches, pastries, coffee, etc.
Get freshly made sandwiches and subs at the deli in the grocery store on Main Street: Lisbon Riverside Market and Grocery. Great Thai food is next to the Market at Hub16 Asian Bistro, There is ice cream at Sweet Treats Ice Cream Shop around the corner from the Market and Thai Restaurant.
Alway good food at the local pizza place: (Lisbon Village Pizza).
Town of Littleton
LOTS of restaurants along with Shillings Brewery, Crumb Bum Bakery, InkWell Coffee and Bakery and the famous Littleton Diner. Take a walk along historic Main Street and check out the many options.
Right on the route at the intersection with Route 302, The Little Grille has outdoor trailside and railroad trackside eating (it used to be there railroad station), considered the best place for burgers. Porfidos Market right on Main Street is a little grocery store that has all kinds of good stuff and a great deli, too.
Not to be missed: Chutters Candy Store, on Main Street, home of the world's longest candy counter (112 feet), 500 different types of candy.
Town of Whitefield
The route goes right past an ice cream store and good for lunch or dinner, too: (Triangle Dairy Bar and Restaurant) but they may not open until late May or June, might close in November or earlier. There is a Dunkin Donuts at the corner of Route 116 and Route 3 and a Subway at the gas station on the other side of this intersection. In addition, alongside the town green, there is Sunny's House of Pizza and a Cumberland Farms at the gas station.
The grocery store on Route 116 just on the west side of the town center: The Whitefield Market 'n' Deli has groceries and a good deli. This is a good place to get dinner items (prepared foods you can heat up or cook on the campfire, i.e. kabobs) if you are camping or staying in lodgings in Jefferson and Randolph where there are no restaurants close by.
Along the Route in the Jefferson Valley
The Israel River Campground (closed in winter) has a basic camp grocery, ice cream Dixie cups, cold beverages, canned goods. Great place to stop for a break, water refill and bathroom. They have a Dero bike Fixit station and air pump outside for all to use.
Old Corner Store About a mile north of the trail is the village of Jefferson (on Route 2) where there is a general store and a bakery. The downhill cruise back to the trail is spectacular, and worth the side trip!
NEW! The Waumbec Country Club has a brand new clubhouse and restaurant, Fenn's Way, You will enjoy a gorgeous panoramic view of the White Mountains. Try dining on the deck or if its too cold or wet, dine in the beautiful clubhouse. If you stay in Jefferson at the Jefferson Inn B&B, the gold club is across the street.
Town of Gorham
The route on the Presidential Rail Trail will not take you into the town of Gorham. The best way to access the town for food and lodging is to use a traffic-free, recreation path and back road from the Presidential Rail Trail into the town onto Route 16. If food or lodging is desired, the off-road bike path to Gorham is located across from the Route 2 parking area. Access this pathway at the western end of the parking lot, carefully cross Route 2 and go around the metal gate marking the start of the path also called Caseys Way. Continue on the path and eventually though a small neighborhood near the airport. When you reach Route 16, take a right. Use care when riding Route 16, it is a busy main road through the town. Ride single file on the wide shoulder. There are many restaurants along Route 16 along with pizza, fast food and ice cream. For coffee, sandwiches and a bakery, check out White Mountain Cafe and Bookstore. For more good food, try The Butchers Daughter, also on Main Street.
For a good dinner out, try Mr Pizza, Nonna's Kitchen, Road Hawg Swine Dining and for a bit more eclectic try The Bear (breakfast and lunch) or The Vault.
Of course the brewery in town is the popular watering hole for bikers and hikers, skiers, snomoniflers and OHRVers, too. Big Day Brewing is in Gorham near the old railroad station, the other side of the tracks. Lots of great Food and Beer options! Be sure to check their hours.

There are many places to find good food, bakery treats, coffee and gelato in Bethel. These places are great ways to celebrate finishing the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail!
In town, check Dicocoas for gelato and cookies, but it is open only randomly Thursday to Sunday. Sit outside, inside or get take-out at Le Mu Eats, delicious Laotian-American cuisine. The Gemini Cafe is across the street and up a couple buildings from LeMu Eats. They have excellent baked goods, coffee, and good sandwiches. the Butcher Burger is really good, too. There is a Dunkin Donuts on Lincoln St, near the overnight parking area at the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce, just 2 minutes off the bike path.
North of the Bethel Outdoor Adventure Campground on Route 2 is the Smokin' Good BBQ Truck at The Good Food Store, both great places to get refueled. On Route 2, the other way, near the blinking yellow light is the Crossroads Diner, another good place to fill up! On the bike path at the Shell Gas Station is a Big Apple convenience store.
