Shuttle Services

You can do the trail out and back, but many cyclists will plan a one-way trip and need to be shuttled to or from their car.  Probably the easiest protocol is to have the shuttle service driver pick up you and your bike at your car in the long term parking lot in Woodsville, Gorham or Bethel.  You are shuttled to your start point and then you just ride back to your car without any worries about timing. Note that you can even arrange to get your baggage shuttled from lodging to lodging!

BOOK EARLY for your trip, especially for the September/October Fall Foliage Season!

Here are 4 shuttle services:

Maura; At Your Service, Personal Concierge
Maura offers rides for up to five cyclists or hikers and five bicycles – including ebikes, tandems, recumbents, trailers – plus gear in a fully insured Ford F-150 crew cab with rack and extender to/from trailheads, hotels, airports, campgrounds.

She will transport for the full xNHAT or for shorter one way sections. She will also do the Cross VT Trail, Lamoille Valley RT, Canada, airports.

Her truck is dog friendly. Maura will do Gear Drops lodging to lodging– no need to lug it all the whole way.

"MauraMart" is always stocked (small supply of necessities cyclists may have forgotten, lost, or broken from chapstick to water bottles to headlamps to locks) and truck always has a full first aid kit and emergency gear (jump starter, fix a flat, compressor, etc). Maura is a member of "The North Country Welcomes Bicyclists" program. She has a toolkit and air pump in her truck to assist cyclists.

Pricing is tailored to your ride. Please read the FAQ before contacting her: Maura's Facebook Page

Dan has a new company...he used to be Priority Transportation. Now he's started Road Runner Transportation.
Dan can accommodate up to four cyclists, 4 bikes (including e-bikes) and gear.  He can shuttle from xNHAT end-to-end, or short sections. Some cyclists and walkers plan to do one section of the xNHAT at a time rather than the full "end-to-end"...so Dan is a perfect match for that! Call or text Dan, he's open daily from 7:00am to 7:00pm
He offers other services:
Bag/gear shuttles from one lodging to another.
   Rental bike pickups or returns.
Transportation to and from repair facilities.
Emergency pickups for injuries, mechanical breakdowns or bad weather bail-outs.

Cheryl and Dan, who shuttle many hikers in the White Mountains, can shuttle cyclists, too.  They are located in Berlin, which is just north of Gorham. From their website: "We are now offering shuttle service for cyclists wanting to do a one way trip like the xNHAT. Currently we can take 4 passengers and bikes." They can take e-bikes, too.
They can shuttle you for the entire length of the xNHAT or for shorter one-way day trips.
